CLI Configuration

The CLI reads its settings from your .all-contributorsrc file, the same configuration file the bot uses.

Some of the most important fields for the CLI are:

  • projectOwner and projectName, which tell the CLI which repository to use when it talks to GitHub or GitLab
  • files, which lists the files where the contributor table and badge live
  • imageSize, which sets the avatar size in the contributor table
  • commit, commitConvention, and commitType, which control whether the CLI commits for you and how those commit messages are formatted
